Rising Moon fanzine pieces
I was recently in a werewolf-themed fanzine for some Overwatch characters! I was assigned to digital merchandise and I also daubled in concepts for some cover art, but they ultimately ended up going with another contributor's idea.

Cover concept 1. I based this on the really vibrant, almost minimalistic posters/ covers of horror and thriller fiction from the late 20th century. As such I implemented a papery texture and VCR grain to give a VHS vibe.
Cover concept wip- may carry this out just because I do really like the colors and composition, though I might go back and redo the shading to not be so smoothly blended, as well as possibly toning down the brightness.
Cover concept 2. This was meant to be reminiscent more of early 20th century horror, hence the black and white with much more contrast, and a filter a little more like that of a projector you might find playing a silent film in the day.
Retro poster reference 1. One of many, but best example of the high saturation and hard cell-shading that gives a monochrome-adjacent look.
